Transportation In Bogota


Railway Sabana de Bogota or also known as the Tren de la Sabana was a transport that ran in Bogota since 1889 and until 1991 served as a transport for the population.
Upon completion of this transport cycle, a year later decided to make a tourist line so that visitors could meet the transport of the eighteenth century and tour some of the attractive points of the ciudad. This tour begins at the Savannah station, within Bogota dating from 1910 and was built with an English architect.

Once the tour started Railroad Bogota plateau begins going through the towns of Usaquén, La Caro, Parque Jaime Duque to Zipaquira. Once you reach this village some railroad cars operate as cafes where you could drink and eat to continue the journey.

Are usually taken two to three daily departures to cover all the tourists looking for this transport as a means of transportation to different locations in Bogota so we can learn a lot of very beautiful landscapes.
