Customs

Food
Chicken, pork, potatoes, rice and soup are the basis of Colombian cuisine. Among regional specialties most interesting include the ajiaco Bogota (soup of chicken and potatoes), the hormiga culona Santander (mainly flat-based fried ants) and Lechona Tolima (whole suckling pig roast to pin and stuffed with rice). The markets are full of many different fruits. Finally, if the coffee and beer are correct, the wine is execrable.
Religion
While Catholicism remains the dominant religion, more than three million believers have abandoned the Catholic faith to other faiths (Anglican, Lutheran), or various religious sects (mormonisme).
Arts
Colombia is a veritable mosaic of peoples and this diversity is expressed through culture, folklore, arts and crafts of the country. The influences from Indian, Spanish and African descent have joined forces to give birth to surprising mergers, particularly in crafts, sculpture and music. Stone sculptures, pottery and gold objects carved up the bulk of pre-Columbian art. The art of basketry, weaving and pottery date from the same period but now combines modern and traditional designs. Finally, music, marked by a strong Spanish influence, borrows from both the African rhythms of Caribbean, Cuban salsa and Andean melodies.
Giant literature Colombian Gabriel Garcia Márquez has forged a work which combines myth, dreams and reality, in a style that critics have dubbed the “magic realism”. The author considers his book as documentary evidence on the nature, timing and perception of life in his country. Durán Moreno is considered one of the best South American authors from the literary revival of the 1950s.

Combination Of Several Cultures
The culture of Colombia, as part of the South American culture is diverse and colorful. The culture of Colombia supports the influences of several cultures. Regardless of the original and indigenous culture, there were many other European races living in Colombia and all have colored the main crop of this South American country, Colombia.
The culture of Colombia is a store house of several other cultural influences. In the mainstream of British culture there are influences of African and Spanish cultures as well. Cultural influences came from Spanish colonizers because in this country. African culture and tells the slave trader that country as any region of South America. The culture of Colombia are to be different traits because of regional differences as well. The regional cultural influences can be divided into three groups as strong group within the culture of the countryside and coastal regional cultural influences.
The culture of Colombia is a total sum of more important things such as geographic location, its settlers, religious groups and many other things. These are all reflected in the language, daily lifestyle, religion and many other aspects of life in Colombia. The language of this country have several distinctive accents. As Caribbean people here have an accent that has an affinity with the accent of Cuba. The habit of daily consumption also reflects the influences of Spanish and also in the habit of native food. The culture of Colombia execution and other forms of art as a very important part of their culture. And in this field also British culture is its distinctive marks.
