Special Cuisine in Colombia

Although the international kitchen is asserting itself, even in the homemade food, Colombia offers many specialties. In the Cundinamarca Department, but especially in the capital, Bogota, prepare grits, which is a very thick soup made with a thick flour of corn, beans and vegetables.

In the regions of the Atlantic coast, Grits is made to the German way, that is with corn flour and coles with sugar; and the sobrebarriga is a beef stew made with fat parts of the chest, and with boiled potatoes and salsa. Read the full story
