Barranquilla, Colombia Night Clubs
The Colombian city of Barranquilla boasts an active nightlife all year round. The majority of Barranquilla’s night clubs were once situated in the northern district of the city known as “El Norte.” However, many clubs have opened in the central part of Barranquilla.

Agua Helada is in central Barranquilla, one of the fastest developing areas of the city. This club’s three-floor interior features a spacious dance floor and a mezzanine area for quieter groups. Another popular aspect of Agua Helada is the outdoor terrace where customers can relax and get fresh air. Coco Beach’s Sunset Bar
Coco Beach’s Sunset Bar is also in central Barranquilla, close to Agua Helada. Unlike the other two night clubs, Coco Beach provides a quieter atmosphere and more laid-back crowd. The club’s palm trees and wooden decking invoke the feeling of a night club on the beach, even though it is in the middle of Barranquilla. Loud music and dancing is not the main draw at Coco Beach’s Sunset Bar–customers instead enjoy quiet conversation under the moonlight.

For many years serious internal armed conflict deterred tourists from visiting Colombia, with official travel advisories warning against travel to the country. However in recent years numbers have risen sharply, thanks to improvements in security resulting from President Álvaro Uribe’s “democratic security” strategy, which has included significant increases in military strength and police presence throughout the country and pushed rebel groups further away from the major cities, highways and tourist sites likely to attract international visitors.
Foreign tourist visits were predicted to have risen from 0.5 million in 2003 to 1.3 million in 2007, while Lonely Planet picked Colombia as one of their top ten world destinations for 2006. The improvements in the country’s security were recognised in November 2008 with a revision of the travel advice on Colombia issued by the British Foreign Office.
Popular tourist attractions include the historic Candelaria district of central Bogotá, the walled city and beaches of Cartagena, the colonial towns of Santa Fe de Antioquia, Popayan, Villa de Leyva and Santa Cruz de Mompox, and the Las Lajas Cathedral and the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá.
Tourists are also drawn to Colombia’s numerous festivals, including Medellín’s Festival of the Flowers, the Barranquilla Carnival, the Carnival of Blacks and Whites in Pasto and the Ibero-American Theater Festival in Bogotá. Laguna de la Cocha in Colombia
La Laguna de la Cocha is located about 25 kilometers from the southern town of Pasto, near the border with Ecuador.
To get there can take a collective taxi, I honestly do not remember the name of the company, but I will say it in your when you fill-together with your fellow travelers for about 17,000 pesos round trip. Never pay both legs at first because the return will do probably with a different driver that you will have to pay the amount to get back to grass.
The way to achieve it through as goats and takes about 40 minutes to go, but the sights, when you start down the slope and currency and the lagoon, are worthwhile.
The group will leave you very close to the pier, where you will see the colorful and attractive houses that populate the area. There are many and almost 100% has a dual role: family home or small hotel and restaurant. Almost all the inhabitants of this small living place of business with tourists and fishing. The restaurants offer menus based on fish, pasta and salads for a little more inflated prices in Pasto but remain very affordable, approximately 5 euros.

The price is set at 20,000 pesos (about 7 euros in May 2009) and all will offer the service at the same rate to avoid unfair competition between them, so I chose depending on which I liked better at first glance: a abuelete named Miguel.
It was a cloudy day and soon began to drizzle mounted, taking refuge in the small awning of the boat but poking his head to see the landscape around me. The stillness was complete. When turned off the engine on the dock of the island botanical garden is in the middle of the lagoon, there was only the quack-quack of some ducks that were chasing ten meters from our boat.
A few meters from the wharf is the entrance to the botanical compound. You have to pay a nominal fee of 1,000 pesos and sign in the guestbook. It was nearly 2 pm and was the first-and perhaps the last-day visitor. I walked to my ball entirely on the path of timber they have created. The vegetation gives a nice color to the scene and at various points in the branches of the trees lining both sides of the road interlock to form arches that smother part of sunlight.
At the end of the promenade there is a viewpoint from which you can watch part of the lake and surrounding valley.
Making the roundtrip journey took me an hour going very smoothly and stopping to take several photos.
There is little else to do out there on a rainy day during the week but Miguel told me that the place became very lively during the weekends, when entire families of Colombians decided to spend the whole day there.

Farallones National Park in Colombia

Colombia Travel: The National Coffee Park
A few kilometers from the Colombian population of Montenegro is the National Coffee Park. A construct driven by the National Federation of Coffee Growers and the Departmental Committee of Coffee Growers of Quindio.
This theme park was opened in 1995 and stands as a tribute to the Colombian coffee grower industry. Since its opening has been called many visitors who have contributed to tourism and economic development of the Quindio region.
The National Coffee Park has an area of 36 hectares and has a cable car, an animatronics show multicolored orchids, a roller coaster, the train of coffee and a replica of the Plaza de Bolivar in Armenia, among other proposals.
You can also visit the park two areas of great interest as are the Museo Nacional del Cafe, where cultural activities and Ecological Trail to promote ecotourism in the region.
Actually the National Coffee Park is a magical place surrounded by spectacular scenery and a standing invitation to fun and learn more about the history of coffee culture.

The magical environments in Colombia Capurgana
For all lovers of tropical paradises we propose to approach the beautiful surroundings of Colombia, to appreciate a wonderful ideal destination for a holiday in touch with nature.
We refer to Capurgana, a charming place which is reached by a boat from the town of Turbo or traveling to Medellin and then a direct flight to our site.

Explore the Aquarium in Colombia
